I've never met anyone that uses the commuter rail from anywhere. I'd imagine there wouldn't be enough early morning, late night, weekend service to make it usable. Most people drive and park at the Chelsea employee parking garage. There's then a shuttle you take that can take usually 15-30 minutes to get to the terminal depending on the drawbridge over the Chelsea river.

Most guys live in NH so they do the Chelsea garage which is north of the city and airport. The few I've flown with on the south shore take Logan express for the most part as driving through the city to get to Chelsea doesn't make a lot of sense.

Logan Express is great. The company will pay for your monthly Logan Express parking pass at Braintree or wherever you plan on taking it from, and then you just buy the tickets yourself (I think it comes out to $1.75 each way with employee discount).

How are the flights to NE from HOU? I live about 15 min from there. Also, do crews overnight in HOU?

The 190 crews do overnights there. Check mobile.passrider.com for a list of flights. JetBlue does 1x daily and SWA does 2x. IAH has more frequency.

Default JetBlue reserve and commuting

I rode the Red Line to South Station/Silver Line. It's very convenient. I'm not sure about the commuter rail schedules, etc. But I'm sure some people do it.
