I got LCR last week but that was changed to a short call out a couple of hours after the next assignments were out. They just had to dangle it and then yank it back!
RSV here is still a great deal for locals. I did one turn last week and one the week before, home every night.

Can anyone recommend a good place in the western U.S. to live and commute to JetBlue? Good schools (6-12th grades) and a commute that won't kill me are the main priorities. Cost of living is a factor, as well. I saw earlier posts that said Denver was do-able. I'm a poolie and would greatly appreciate any advice.

If you want to live in the west the obvious answer is to apply to UAL and then AMR. Nothing is harder on a family then a long commute. Failing that bite the bullet and move east. Lots of areas with good schools. Family time is far more important then schools or living out west.
Youll sacrifice a lot of QOL and pay if you have a tough commute. If you are dead set in living out west and working for jetblue then think about living in the LGB area and be prepared for a long time on reserve before holding a regular schedule. It would probably take a year before you could get based in LGB.

Sailingfun and flyby, thanks for the input. QOL is important. It seems like a 4 hour direct flight to JFK or LGB wouldn't be too bad of a commute, though.
As it stands now I'll be two-hopping to any domicile unless (until) we move.

What they said above, consider moving to where you're based or atleast will be based at some point.
Good luck!
