Is a HNL JS considered Int'l?
Anyone know if Honolulu is considered International to/from the US regarding Jumpseats? If in CASS, can we ride in the cockpit if the cabin (like normal) is full? It's great FDX/UPS will let you JS domestic but not Int'l (which again makes HNL a question), yet gate some gate agents at Pax airlines deem it Int'l, others don't. Is there a FAR re: this? In anyone's FOM? Does it vary company to company? I need clarification as I commute to/from there now.

I commuted to HNL from ORD for 8 months in 2010 and I never had a problem. At one time or another I used all the Legacy carriers with good results, however sitting in the cockpit for 9hrs ORD-HNL is NOT the way to go I can assure you. As far as FedEx/UPS/Kalitta etc are concerned, I am sure its possible, I just never tried it.

You should be good to go on just about any carrier that operates b/t HNL and the 'lower 48', including all the major passenger carriers (unless your carrier doesn't have an agreement with them). AA may limit the # of jumpseaters to the # of actual flightdeck jumpseats on the aircraft (depends on what airline you fly for). Just about every other carrier likely offers you any open seat, including the flight deck, assuming CASS of course.
Check out the cargo carriers, particularly those operating 747s, who will usually cater for you, offer you a business class seat, lots of room to stretch out, and few interruptions. The layout of non-747 cargo aircraft is more varied, and usually not as generous with the space (every inch of crew space on the main deck is space that cargo can't fill).

Thanks very much for the responses! I was able to jumpseat (in the cockpit) of a sold out AA flight from HNL to DFW without a care in the world! I guess the SLC Delta Gate Agents were less than informed. But it'll make my commute much more bearable to know now down the road. Thank you all again.
