The second way I look at it is to simply play the game. If the rules of the game state that to use KCM I have to be in uniform then fine.
Yes, I will follow the rules, but you have to admit its a pretty silly rule. If I have valid ID and I show up correctly in CASS, it shouldn't matter what I'm wearing.

But, I'm not going to ***** about it, because it beats the heck out of normal security.

I certainly do not disagree with you on that one. Putting on the uniform is not what makes you a known entity, it is the picture ID, a passport and being in CASS. Typically whether you are commuting to work or going somewhere for pleasure, business or whatever you are still occupying the same seat regardless of whether or not you put a uniform on that day or which security line you went through. Maybe some day it will get worked out. I am glad to see this first step in the right direction.

For me, I prefer to travel in uniform as it generally makes my airport life easier. .

Show up in uniform, go through screening, get on the flight, change into civvies in the lav. Works for me.

I'm a fan of the program so far. The blueberries are a little confused about it. Not sure if crew badge alone or passports too. As for the uniform, makes airport life much easier not just going through security but the commute leg too. I find the gate and fa's are a little more friendly to working nonrevs.

I travel on paid tickets to and from work and usually on very long flights. Having to wear the clown costume just to get through security and bring my liquids through is a pain in the ***. Many times I deadhead to work on a foreign carrier who forbids other airline employees from wearing uniforms so as to not confuse passengers etc. If airports overseas can use LOGIC then so can the TSA!

I commute in regular clothes. I pack my 3 oz liquids and wear slip on shoes. For me, the comfort of not having to wear a tie, being able to drink in 1st class, not being bugged by passengers, not having to wear/carry my hat is worth the extra 5-10 minutes it takes me to get through security. I do wear business casual clothes, though, just in case I have to take the jumpseat.

I can't believe you guy's are so hung up on wearing your uniform thru security. This industry has a lot more issues to deal with. Let's focus on pay, scope, etc.

They can not forbid you from wearing your uniform on a paid ticket. They can if you're a non-rev.

Works great in MIA, zipped right through security!
