I just read that this program still requires a pilot to be in uniform to go through. So what's the long-term plan if you aren't? Do you have to go wait in line and not jump ahead at all? Is there anything that we can do about this? I'm including a poll to see how many people travel out of uniform fairly regularly...

That's what I figured. I have yet to figure out what a uniform has to do with anything... And that was my question, anyone have any ideas? Why didn't ALPA push for that part of the program too?

But Known Crewmember with uniform is a better first step than no option, for now.

Utilize KCM. It should be based on whether or not you have an ID and are in cass, not how you are dressed. An example might be if I wanted to go meet a family member at their gate but the line is an hour long. Or deadheading to an assignment via a purchased ticket if your company doesn't require a uniform for that, etc...

Please don't push this at a checkpoint, all it will do is jeopardize the future usefulness of the program.
Regular LEO's don't have to travel in uniform to bypass security!

The way I look at it is that I wear my uniform typically for a four day trip for multiple legs. Me wearing it to DHD or jumpseat or non rev is no big deal...whats the difference, I wear it all the time anyway.
The second way I look at it is to simply play the game. If the rules of the game state that to use KCM I have to be in uniform then fine.
