Is Compass for real?

How will they get going thats alot of work for such a short time period. I have read the same stuff on the web about the "plans" to operate but... Bottomline when are they going to start training and hiring the labor to fly?

36 EMB 175 are to start ops late next summer, 36 CRJ 900 purchased by Compass/NWA will be flown by an affiliate (lowest bidder) I would imagine that some kind of training will begin not long after the first of the year.

i still dont get why there there doing this, i thought they were trying to make their own regional and just run 2 seperate companies and pilot lists at nwa?
if there gonna contract out the 900's then all there doing is screwing pinnacle. why dont they just buy the 900's and lease em to pinnacle?

The CRJ's may very well go to pinnicle. It depends on what their bid to fly them for is. This is the Northwest way of doing business. Get the lowest price possible, then leave it up to Pinnicle to make it work (cut costs).
They are absolutely ruthless. The list is separate with flow up and down.

Whipsaw
They have to keep at least 2 seperate entities on the regional side, otherwise they don't have enough players to play the whipsaw game. Compass mgt was snooping around Bldg N last week observing training "in order to make it similar to NWA." Based where FlyI was for now and who knows where once they are up and running. It is certainly for real.

So if I understand this right, if the lowest bidder for the 900s is not Pinnacle (soneone else lower) then this may well set up to be another GoJets situation? I'm not tryin to start anything here, just wondering and trying to understand if that's kinda the same thing that happened over there...
