I think I'll look at this TA as two seperate contracts. Section 1, then the all the rest. If section 1 is acceptable then I'll read the rest. If not, then I wont bother reading the rest.

Great contract? You must have read a completely different document then I read.

I intend to analyze the TA on two grounds:

1. How does it affect my total compensation and the total compensation package of the median pilot? This encompasses hourly pay, retirement matching and contributions, insurance - the works.

2. How does it affect my career prospects, as well as those of the median Delta pilot?

That said, in what seat does the median pilot sit?

did you read the whole thing and compare it to the other regionals and the crap contract of 99? it is definitely towards the top of the regional industry. I'm guessing you didn't read it since you don't work there and it doesn't directly affect you or needed your vote.

Over 30% of the fleet at DAL is 757/767... if that helps.

9e took a much bigger bite then they could handle. Buying 9L in 2007 and then Mesaba a few years later proved to be too much.

I agree....PT got too big for his britches. But from what I hear 9e was pretty much "told" by DL to buy XJ. One reason DL initially said they would pay for all training costs for the XJ guys to come over to the 9e side.

I read it, Top pay for a copilot on a 90 seater was in the mid four range and and per diem was 1.65 an hour if I recall. CA's did not make what Comair made 10 years ago. I think it was around 90 an hour max on a 50 seater and 100 on a 90 seater.

That may be true. The devil is always in the details. Unfortunately, PT made a mess that he doesn't have to clean up. And he was rewarded for it.

You recall incorrectly. CA 50 seat max is currently $103.91 increasing to $113.58 in 3 years. for the -900 it's 108.89 increasing to $119.02. Pay isn't everything you know...work rules, QOL, SCOPE, not having to commute etc. I'm making $9-10 more than a current Comair CA at my longevity and $3-4 more than a Skywest CA. Who cares what the Comair guys got in 01 for their new contract, look where it got them now. And I think 9e pay is equal to or better than that Comair 01 contract. The chart on APC has not been updated for Pinnacle's new contract. Can we leave the "my crappy regional is better than your crappy regional" argument to the regional thread? ;)

Now if you are talking about managements concessionary contract proposal, which came out a few weeks ago, you are right that is a POS that will set us back to pre-99 contract conditions. The concessionary rates are on par with the rates you are saying, you sure you aren't mistaking the current contract with the concessionary proposal?
