Quote: I'm pretty sure fuel surcharges are illegal on a domestic ticket.
Are they really?
Quote: Now that SWA can't count on hedges maybe it's time to bring it back around. Fuel is our number 1 cost, there has to be a better way to control that cost other than cutting labor costs.
Yes there is....buy a refinery. LOL.

Baja.

Underboob is legal on this thread.
Quote: What the scope section says will decide whether we even see the TA or not...I hope.

In big picture terms, here's what I think it says right now regarding the major stuff.

50 more 76 seaters allowed at DCI - enables lease payment forgiveness from Canadair. (related, but in section3) payrate for and launch customer for CS - 10 airframes initially. Hard cap on 50 seaters reduced and 76 seaters raised. (remember, the 76 seaters are really 90 seaters). Stage lengths for DCI limited to a max NM.

Limit on props and geared turbofan.

ALK - unchanged with secret handshake deal that this will be backed out of.

JV/Int'l codeshare - production balances which we don't currently have somewhat mirroring AF JV.
-----------
Payrates - 25% date of signing 5,5... some will contend this is an astronomical homerun. Narrowbodies up to 737-800 banded. 737-900 and 757 banded. (just guessing)

Promise of instantaneous hiring (Boomer are you in the system?)

SWAs commuting system.

Anyone else?
For the record folks, this is a guess from a lousy dot connector.
Alright, I will fan the flame a bit. The reason delta is rushing this TA is because of a merger....Its Alaska Airlines. Straight from the CEO's mouth. Not joking people, its gonna happen soon!

Which CEO, RA or BT from AS?

Baja.
Since we're speculating; What if it comes back with only 4% at DOS, and 8% on Jan.1, and then 3% and 3%, in out years? (would that equal SW...in 3 1/2 years?)

Oh, but a 1/3 reduction in profit sharing, and more 'productivity', and more big RJ's. But...maybe some 717's and maybe 500 early outs...to offset the productivity gains.

Wuja vote yes to that?

Anyone?

Buehler? Buehler?
Negating the rest of the TA, my wife won't let me vote on anything less than 20% upfront. That would be a 50% reduction in her monthly schedule.

I heard the 4,8,3,3 as well from a reliable source. That is absolutely insulting.

NO. Just heard the same thing.
