That's absolutely huge. They could argue that they don't have control because they signed a bulletproof 20-year lease on all these shiny new 76 seaters. Do you trust ALPA to enforce the ratios after another 9/11-type event?

They have to do with block hours and if mainline flexes down then DCI has to as well.

OK, nevermind, I found it. Not called "production balance" in the TA language but it's in 1. D. 9. and it's called "minimum ratio of revenue block hours" ... blah blah blah.
Which probably gives the lie to my claim of having read "most of" section 1 before I asked. Seemed like I'd read a lot of it before I got too ticked off to keep reading earlier, though!
I'll have to try to digest that paragraph tomorrow.
G'night!

QUOTE "...Delta management decides which aircraft it operates, but we have every reason to believe that Delta will soon announce the purchase of aircraft contingent on the ratification of this agreement. This will represent a major opportunity for many of our pilots to upgrade from the right seat to the left seat and will also create a need for additional hiring for the right seat...."
I think these are the aircraft they are talking about ie 80-100 emb195
for mainline... from the number 2 guy (H.H) from company last year before he left.
Yes I know... rumors nothing is fact. What happened around when (H.H) stepped down....

Even if this cockeyed rumor was made by RA and placed on youtube, I wouldn't care. Put it in writing.

Paragraph 1.D.9. Why is the 767-300 (NON -ER) airframe in the text? Those airframes are going to the desert. Anybody ever hear of the 737-900ER.. and which airframes those are replacing? Yet MORE pilots being downgaged.

The 70 additional outsourced large RJ's are crj900's. We will not be seeing those at the mainline. 153 76 seaters (plus 102 70 seaters) isn't enough for them, so they want 70 more. We keep "limiting" them to whatever they want to do anyway.
Not to mention there's this little gem that gives them an out for the mainline ratios:
"The Company will be excused from compliance with the provisions of this Note in the event a circumstance over which the Company does not have control."

Please everyone pay attention to this note and think about what is out of the Company's control. Oil is the biggest one to come to mind right now. So if oil goes up our scope goes out the door. This contract is NOT an improvement. We need to learn from the past. United gave up scope and they have people on furlough that were hired over 10 years ago.

They did put it in writing. If the company does not expand the mainline they not only can't add a single 76 seat aircraft they have to reduce the total RJ fleet to 455 aircraft from the current total of 650 plus and they have to reduce the 70 to 76 seaters from 255 to 223 and they don't gain a single 76 seat airframe. The above reductions apply even if they do grow the mainline however they can then access additional 76 seaters within the 223 cap.
