Delta has a TA
#931
I will make this easy for the NC to “fix” this TA. This is my personal MINIMUM :
1. Section 1. No more 70+ seat airplanes at DCI
2. Add a 1 in front of that initial pay raise.
3. 5% more to DC plan
4. Profit sharing unchanged
I could live with this until the next amendable date.

OK. Here's exactly what you wrote. Emphasis mine:
Now we know you lied. The MSP rep is a highly paid pilot because he flies his a$$ off and does NOT claim FPL hardly at all. When you lie like this on behalf of the MEC in order to tar the LEC reps who voted NO, you really do a disservice to yourself and the MEC.
Sad and pathetic.

You guys could have paid me a lot less to be so agreeable. I want reps, not cuckolds.
No flame, just an honest answer.

The bit you didn't highlight said "So FPL isn't an issue. Whod'a thunk?" As in, clearly it doesn't matter how many hours you get for how you vote. Now. I have no idea about you but just reading ACL say it's flight time and not FPL does not clear that up for me. Like I should randomly believe him? I said, and I quote "So FPL isn't an issue." You are so blinded with rage that you can't even see that I said it didn't matter. I read the report on the treasurers page and thought it was ALL FPL now ACL says it's not, in which case I don't know why it on the site for the FPL report? Either way my point stands as FPL isn't an issue." You attack me no matter what I say. You must be a lot of fun in the DMV line.

A better offer. One that more closely approximates what Delta pilots want and what the company can afford. Nothing more, nothing less. It's called "negotiation." Based on what I've read so far, real negotiation hasn't happened yet. The company said you can have this and ALPA said ok, fine.

)? I respect your opinion and frustration. I would love more than anybody to see more money. However, I can't ignore the other side though - the cost of waiting it out. Admittedly, no one knows if there is more money on the table or how long it would take to come to a new TA should this one fail.
What I do know is the lowest category (DC-9/717 FO) will be making $133/hr by the date you say you're willing to wait for. Everyone else is up from there, including your seat at $148/hr. It's not sexy and it's not something to high-five about, but the reality is that it puts our right seat guys within spitting distance of most other legacy's Captains. I'm not ignoring SWA, FedEx or UPS, but you also can't ignore the downward pressure that AA bankruptcy, USAir, UCAL, etc exert on our rates.
I'm not happy with the payrates, but I'm not so proud to ignore real money either. Not saying I've made up my mind to vote yet, but I will not be voting NO just because I feel like I deserve more. The decision will be between the money that's currently on the table vs. the opportunity cost of waiting for what could happen down the road.
I got carried away a bit. Seriously, specific examples if you've got time for a friendly debate?

Specifically what don't you like about the agreement (500 words or less please
)?

I'd love to share my thoughts. And I'll give you the condensed version. Currently, I'm on the road. Let me get back to you when I get home!
