3. 5% more to DC plan
4. Profit sharing unchanged
I could live with this until the next amendable date.

No, you will live with the current contract until the next amenable date.

I think the majority is more than OK with that.

The question is, can RA live with the current contract until the amendable date?

I think not.

Sounds like a plan.

Sad and pathetic.

The bit you didn't highlight said "So FPL isn't an issue. Whod'a thunk?" As in, clearly it doesn't matter how many hours you get for how you vote. Now. I have no idea about you but just reading ACL say it's flight time and not FPL does not clear that up for me. Like I should randomly believe him? I said, and I quote "So FPL isn't an issue." You are so blinded with rage that you can't even see that I said it didn't matter. I read the report on the treasurers page and thought it was ALL FPL now ACL says it's not, in which case I don't know why it on the site for the FPL report? Either way my point stands as FPL isn't an issue." You attack me no matter what I say. You must be a lot of fun in the DMV line.

Fine with me. I'm not a 777 captain. I can wait.

Just curious. What will you be waiting for? What will be better at the amendable date of the next contract?

Honest question, no flame.

A better offer. One that more closely approximates what Delta pilots want and what the company can afford. Nothing more, nothing less. It's called "negotiation." Based on what I've read so far, real negotiation hasn't happened yet. The company said you can have this and ALPA said ok, fine.

You guys could have paid me a lot less to be so agreeable. I want reps, not cuckolds.

No flame, just an honest answer.

I reread your post again, and still came to the same conclusion as to what you meant. Maybe poor phrasing on your part, or poor comprehension on my part. Don't know. But if you are really saying that the MSP LEC reps that voted NO were great examples of independent thinking and ethical behavior by taking almost no FPL even though they could, then you're right and I apologize.

Specifically what don't you like about the agreement (500 words or less please )?

I respect your opinion and frustration. I would love more than anybody to see more money. However, I can't ignore the other side though - the cost of waiting it out. Admittedly, no one knows if there is more money on the table or how long it would take to come to a new TA should this one fail.

What I do know is the lowest category (DC-9/717 FO) will be making $133/hr by the date you say you're willing to wait for. Everyone else is up from there, including your seat at $148/hr. It's not sexy and it's not something to high-five about, but the reality is that it puts our right seat guys within spitting distance of most other legacy's Captains. I'm not ignoring SWA, FedEx or UPS, but you also can't ignore the downward pressure that AA bankruptcy, USAir, UCAL, etc exert on our rates.

I'm not happy with the payrates, but I'm not so proud to ignore real money either. Not saying I've made up my mind to vote yet, but I will not be voting NO just because I feel like I deserve more. The decision will be between the money that's currently on the table vs. the opportunity cost of waiting for what could happen down the road.

I got carried away a bit. Seriously, specific examples if you've got time for a friendly debate?

Hey Leine,

I'd love to share my thoughts. And I'll give you the condensed version. Currently, I'm on the road. Let me get back to you when I get home!
