US Airways Calls

The problem with Airways isn't the fact that you only have 2000TT, there's nothing wrong with that. As I talked to an Airbus Capt from Airways at a job fair, she said they usually judge military against military, civilian against civilian. As long as you meet the mins, that's what matters.
The problem comes when you're comparing military guys with 2000TT and military guys with 4000-5000TT.
But, I've noticed most of the guys who were in on the initial emails from United were fighter guys.
The other problem with Airways is, it comes down to luck of the draw, it truly is a lottery with them. Just like you have a greater chance of winning the lottery the more tickets you buy, you have a better chance of getting a call from Airways based on how many "buckets" your name is in. My name isn't in the female bucket, nor the family member bucket, but I fit in just about every other bucket as it was described to me. Still no call.

6,500tt, 121 CA, internal recs, 4-yr degree, went to WIA, applied every window since 2010, still waiting...
I've seen guys with much less time and quals than I get called and guys WAY more qualified than I not get called.
I think getting the call is more about randomly have your number pulled by a computer than it is how many hours you have. JM2C

As explained to me at WAI, the process is akin to a "rolling lottery." Each time a new application window (Req ID) opens, HR begins looking at the next batch of applications (from several windows previous to the currently open window), and closes (or archives) the most dated Req ID from which interview calls were being made. The August applications may have been archived intentionally... they're not looking at them anymore. That said, you should apply every time a new Req ID is posted, as you are essentially buying a ticket for the next "raffle."
My estimation is that a competitive applicant shouldn't expect a call for, no kidding, 6-9 months after submitting an application. I think they are just now looking at the October Req ID. Just my anecdotal observation... If true, it stinks for me as I didn't apply until the January Req ID (152321).
