Definitely not the case. Lots of FOs out there were hired with 200-300 total time. There was actually a kid 2 or 3 classes ahead of me at Pinnacle who got on with 180 total. Commercial Mutli Instrument from Riddle and then straight to the right seat in a jet. This was early 2008 and people hired around that time are still sitting in the right seat so their PIC would still be sitting at what they earned while getting their ratings.

I can't speak for others but in my new hire class the only guys who were regional FOs had family connections.

Unfortunately, at this time, you need a 4-year degree. You'll need to indicate that you have one on your app and not having one is a disqualifier at this time.
