This is the way it was for us original third listers hired in '07-'08. You were placed on either side of the Mississippi and once there, you were not allowed to cross.

Just applied today. I have 4300 tt with 1500 turbine pic. Part 135 for the last 7 years. However I am a few classes away from a 2 year degree. Is anyone getting called without degrees?

I only know of one who got hired without, but he had his resume walked in by a VP. After you get your 2 year I recommend you enroll in 4 year online program and bang out your 4 year. Many programs will give you credits for your ratings.

That being said, please don't let my post discourage you from applying. I know of several pilots that have been hired by JetBlue without 4 year.

I'm not too discouraged. I realize that i need to knock out college now. I'm almost 31 and my old community college is right across the runway from where i work now. So I think I have some time. Trying to decided if I want to idle at my current job making over 60k and home most nights or jump on the 121 train(spirit, JB, Etc) and try to finish school that way.

The Big picture for me is SCHEDULE. I'd really like to have one. I'm just now back to the forums looking for intel. PM's are welcome if anyone has any ideas. Thanks for the info on Airways.

I was just told by a chief pilot that 300 hours pic is a requirement now.

Pretty sure every regional FO has at least 300 hours pic.
