US Airways Calls
#3473
I applied with US Air back in Sept 2013, within a few weeks I got an email from US Air asking me to re-apply to a new req id. I did so in Oct 2013. As of yet I have not had any further communication from them. Online it still says under review. Is this just normal wait time for something to happen or with the Merger should I be doing something different.

Pretty normal. Not sure if October was the most recent window, but common strategy is to apply in every window. I've got a couple sorry not selected, and about 3 apps still under review. Their process doesn't really make any sense just keep applying.

No communication is pretty standard from them unfortunately. I have applied under 6 requisition numbers now and have received one TBNTs email. The rest of the applications just read Under Review until they change to not selected.
I would think that a new window will open pretty soon. During the last year and half, they have opened windows in August 2012, September 2012, February 2013, May 2013, and September 2013.

Was told starting in March all hiring will be done under the "American" system. I do know calls are still being made, someone I know got a call today to interview under US Air's banner from PeopleScout. So they are still at it at least for the time being. No idea how they are going to schedule it though.

I believe airways has enough applications pulled to last for maybe a few weeks of interviewing. They're pulling applications for interview. Maybe the apps they select will last until SOC, but I doubt it.
Can Legacy American hire for a different airline before SOC? I don't think so. Someone chime in.
