Mike, thinking long term has me telling you to go to Airways. Are you JFK based? Would a PHL commute be bad? It sounds like you can hold a line fairly quickly on the A320 in PHL. Commuting with a line, as you probably know, is a completely different animal than commuting on reserve. It may be a few years away, but eventually the lists will be combined and the fences will come down and you can have an NYC base if that is what you want. At 33, your career progression looks pretty good from here on out. Good luck and congrats on the call.

Thanks for the advice. The only X factor is the base is Boston so it will be much harder to get to, if at all. Also for those curious, when I applied I had about 5000 total and 4000 tpic, all military, 200 hours in 12 months, no training program in 7 years, and one internal.

The downside is, you have to win the lottery to get a phone call, I know that is what it felt like to me .

Airbus lines are still 1.5 years depending on the time of year. Currently the E190 is roughly 6-7 months from class start. Airbus lines in CLT are the longest wait. Think somewhere around 2 years..... DCA is junior on the AB but seems the top guys aren't moving as they in DCA only have an AB to bid.... Perhaps AB guys can post more specifics I'm looking at bottom secondary line holder and estimating for you.
