Can't wait until it's your turn in the barrel. It will be awhile, unfortunately, but the Big D will eventually tumble like the rest.

Wait, what should DL pilots have done about Midwest exactly?

Moreover, what, specifically, should ALPA national have done?

Such venom ! I'm sure your chairman's view would be the same as the Delta's chairs view ! I'll let Gloopy handle this one.

No, just tired of us screwing our own. Regrettably I said somethings I should have not and for that I do apologize, I just find it incredibly frustrating.

Contractually there was no reason to throw them to the curb.

Thats all that needs to be said as there is nothing that can be done about it now.

Exactly what -throw them to the curb- are you talking about?

Back to the thread. First off, the DAL folks look great with the hat. The main reason I wear the hat after it became optional is to upset those who don't like it. Bozo shoes, back packs and polo shirts doesn't make one a better pilot. Neither does a hat, but it impresses little kids.

I also still have hair unlike people a lot younger than me. I deal with the "hat hair" just so the bald folks have no excuse.

I'm sensing a bit of jealousy of the professional look of the DL airmen!!!

Hey, there are a lot of things every one of us agreed to during the interview to get the job, that we absolutely don't agree with today. You really think I told the AA interviewers I'd be very involved with SPC activities?

I like tradition.

UT has Orange and white uniforms. I like that. Gangs don't like 'em so much because they aren't a modern black uniform shirt that translates so well there. But I like our tradition. It transcends generations.

But go on for that more modern look if you want over there at AA... or American Airways... or whatever your new airline will be called. And remember this discussion in 20 years when some punk new hire is ****ed because you have to actually wear socks or that his phone cannot be visible in uniform, or.... So good for you... Every tradition has to start somewhere.

or not.
