80.

I am sure you will ban me again. Bug you may need to go fly, take a break from here or resign as a mod. The guy, while being a troll is not threatening or using inappropriate language, such as I did calling bucking bar a feminine hygene product. He is no more of a troll or feces stirer than our own bb. If you are going to put him in time out, I fully expect BB to be the next time he starts his.

I didnt ban you... youve had so many other infractions from other mods that when I did the first thing to you for calling another user a dbag (in all caps and misspelled to get around the filter), the system automatically banned you.

I deleted 80% of what membrain posted in this thread, so the only stuff left is what was within the terms of service.

Deal with it and/or fill out the internet butthurt form and send it to me.

Cool

Andy Pasztor stated that Express Jet hired 800 pilots in the last two years. I dont think ASA/Express Jet has hired 800 pilots in the last five years maybe even longer.

Not sure what you are into, but I'll stay clear of the " butthurt" stuff. Not my thing, but who I am I to judge. That being said, I expect the same sensoring/deleting of bb when he trolls, blames, and insults over 40% or YOUR co-workers. You have not been consistant. Btw, I DID NOT intentionally misspell it to get around the filters, just misspelled. Stop ASSuming. On another note, when did this forum turn into the girl scout forum?

Yes, their actual reporting is not too biased, but their commentary, interest stories, and the majority of their guest interviews/sought opinions reflect their left of center positions on the issues. It's not prejudice he's basing that opinion on. I listen to NPR quite often and can agree that while the content is normally very good, it is definitely a liberally biased organization.

No, what he said was foreign airlines pay appropriately and that is why good ol' 'merican boys are flying outside the US.

IMO, it was the only part of the interview where he was able to stay "on message."

Does ALPA not have a "dealing with the press" training program?

I listen to and support NPR. I agree, sometimes they lean to far to the left for my taste. I still learn a lot by listening.

ALPA should hire Sully to do these programs!

Agree completely. Its amazing that he listens to the most biased media of all, and criticizes NPR.

I just listened to the interview and I have to say that even by the low standards of some of his predecessors, Capt. Moak fails to impress. What I heard is exactly what has failed ALPA in the past 20 years - a failure to take the long view on what has happened (willingness to entirely surrender their share of the growth to the regionals in exchange for a few pieces of silver) and what is going to happen (MPL). I strongly disagree that things are just fine with major airline pay. On the average, major airline pay has done an abysmal job of keeping up with inflation. Sure, there are some bright spots amidst the doom but it is obvious that the ALPA president views the profession from the paradigm of his own position - a senior DAL captain. To call the statement that the profession has lost its allure, "hogwash" is to ignore the basic economics of what is happening.

I'm starting to like the idea more and more to pay the President of ALPA the salary of the lowest paid captain that he/she represents.
