Why don't make this a competition!
First guy to actually ASK the controller what would give them a quicker turn westbound...and have proof (liveatc audio clip included) wins an APC sponsored case of their favorite barley pop!
Sorry, passing on second hand info won't count! Only the audio clip!

I have only been involved in a couple of aviation forums, ever, for about 2.5 years. This thread is by far my favorite. I flew out of NY (all 3) for half my time in the US. Rudest, dumbest, and most mistake prone controllers in the US. Still OK by worldwide standards, but my previous sentence still stands.
I think my favorite clearance was to intercept the intersection of J-whatever and victor-whatever out of La Garbage at 200 feet after takeoff. My FO's response was, without my input, "we will be over Montreal by the time we figure that one out". They gave us a heading.
In NY, I try to do the "standard", and hopefully the controller doesn't threaten to send his dad to beat up my dad. And then I hope for the best.
Great thread. Keep the stories coming.

In an Asia bound heavy there is no 'pull the nose up' to make a crossing restriction. The plane is so close to min maneuver speed that pitch control is a major portion of your instrument scan.
So the green dot Airbaby will be so far above the w/b the speed difference is meaningless.
