Has anyone put together a wag on how many pilots are currently furloughed awaiting recall or out of a job completely due to their company folding? I would like to know how many pilots are sitting at home unemployed waiting for the "shortage" to happen. I would guess that number alone will cover many of these retirements. The regionals are shrinking rapidly which will leave a lot more pilots on the street. I think the regionals may end up hurting for pilots but I don't see a problem at any company that is a good place to work.

**An editing mistake was done on the 100% of American Eagle group retiring. Number should be 50.48%. Also, I got tired of calculating American Eagle and stopped at 2039
By combining my three pics, 66.33% of the pilots on property at the time these numbers were received will be forced to retire by 2047. And more or less is correct. But not every airline has data listed here to 2047.
The only accurate assumption that can be made "from these numbers" is 5063 pilots will be forced to retire by 2016.
