I'll be so disappointed if a contract gets passed without major changes to this. Given the history of scope issues at other airlines, Alaska is not by any means safe from this kind of thing. In fact, like Aspilot said, I think that's their plan. So why not save some mainline jobs?

Then you will be disappointed. TA will pass. Pussies far out weigh balls here!

If I did I sure wouldn't buy an airline.

More like $6B. You think these shareholders would sell without a premium? Even if they did a stock swap, ALK would command a premium. Would the persuing company retain the same ROIC after inevitably modifying the business model? Doubtful.

Don't look now guys, but did you notice the picture next to the contract story on Alaskas world? A SkyWest CA in a leased CRJ!! REALLY!?!

Maybe it's a little foreshadowing about the terms of the contract...

I'm seeing an HGS screen when I go on there...but please share if it is, that is just too funny.

They took it down pretty soon after my post. Should've taken a screen shot. Idiot! Just kind of ironic from a pilots point of view. I'm positive there was no ill will from the company. Whoever is in charge of loading the splash page probably can't tell the difference between an rj cockpit and a 73 cockpit.
