ALPA isn't supporting jetblue pilots. Jetblue pilots are requesting help from ALPA.

This is actually pretty accurate. Now stop helping...
It's more than that... it's our union dues money wasted on trying to organize you guys... it's my NC that has to counter your pay rates and benefits.
Its your management that pay A4A dues with money YOU generate, then lobbies Congress for laws and polices that WE all have to deal with.
It's PAC money that we contribute to lobby Congress to better the profession that you do nothing, but benefit.
Then you guys banter back and forth seeing who can best articulate how screwed you really are.... all while lamenting that you are a major carrier on par with the rest of us.....

No use in saying, "I told you so". We need well structured representation yesterday. Alpa is our only shot.

There's very few who still believe in the DR. They really make a fool of themselves, especially when they come on union websites like this and fight a case for the DR while they are undercompensated and unprotected.

Not as easy as it sounds. Lots of guys here in their mid to late 40's who are making $165-200k/yr.
To start over at the bottom of a list on first year pay may not be doable for many.
For myself, there is no way that I wouldn't go into serious debt on first year pay. Also I would more than likely have little to no control over my schedule for 4-7 years. This is a key time in my kids' lives and I need to be home as much as possible.
Does it suck not having union representation and a CBA? Definitely.
I've voted ALPA twice and am looking forward to doing it again....soon.

Uniforms??? Our last CP pleaded with the company for white shirts. They said the blue shirts were part of our "brand"....whatever. I'm just sick and tired of pax coming up to me asking to change their seats. New shirt out next year. Will be lighter blue like Alaska's old shirts...more like Air Force blue. Again, don't care about the little stuff. Just need a union ASAP and a CBA to quickly follow.
