As I understand it, "Airways" went down their "path" primarily because of a major dispute over their SLI with America West. US Airways/America West has been a major train wreck of a merger. Delta/Northwest has been arguably the most successful merger in airline history. We made $1 billion profit in just the 3rd quarter of this year! DPA has been very clear that it's formation has nothing to do with the SLI.
Nice straw man, Fishin. Maybe if you and tsquare say it enough times, some people will start believing you.

Such an interesting observation.

You're right. The past decade is all ALPA/DALALPA's fault. SARS, Sept 11th, greatest economic melt down since the Great Depression etc, etc. I guess if I "keep repeating it" I too can blame ALPA for not making it to pro ball, not having a super model wife and having legs that look like Olive Oils. Great strategy......
To be clear, I don't blame any of the above on ALPA/DALPA. I blame our response and lack of a plan to recover on ALPA/DALPA. I blame our surrender (as so eloquently stated by you ) on ALPA/DALPA. Who else is there to blame for this? (well, besides about 60% of us who have agreed to go along with DALPA on this)

Could the DPA operate without dues dollars? As a senior guy who has publicly stated he was retiring at 60 I find your adamant support of DPA comical. If you stick to your word and DPA was by chance voted in, how many new PWA's would you work under? I'm guessing a big fat ZERO. We all know your M.O. It's not what's best for the Delta pilot. It's about making ALPA hurt just like you have these past ten years. They do have support groups out there.....

No. Neither can ALPA. That's why I fixed your post where you mistakenly made it sound like ALPA was an altruistic organization.
You would have similar criticism if I was a younger guy, except the criticism would go something like this: "Since you're going to have to live with multiple lousy DPA contracts for the rest of your career, I find your adamant support of DPA comical."
You have to remember, you're not the only one that gets copies of the "special committee's" talking points dude.
Really? We all know my M.O.? Who knew. I don't even know my M.O.
Don't know what you're referring to because the last ten years have been the best in my professional career.
Stomping you're feet, waving your arms, and other emotional outbursts are not going to be a successful strategy for your "special "committee." It's not about making anyone hurt. It's a simple business decision to replace a poorly performing vendor.
