I know Mike and he had apps in for approx 9-10 months- correct Mike? I'm at 7 months and still waiting too. I'm with you, hard to be patient when other bro's with same qual's are getting called. Hangin in there with you.

Thanks for the reply. Yup, tough is an understatement! Retired in June and in training at a regional now to stay current/ build part 121 time. At what they're paying, the family and I can only afford to do this for a little while! Hoping we all get the call soon...

Don't give up. I got out of the Navy in April of '81. The controllers went on strike shortly thereafter. I was 31 at the time so no Major Airline would hire me. Worked a number of different places until hired at NWA Jan of 85. Had a great 27 year career at NWA/DAL. Good luck and hang in there!

There's ALSO a crapton of VERY qualified/experienced people that have had apps in since 2007.

Welcome to the waiting game.

Yeah, I hear ya. Thanks for the replies. Hopefully this is just the initial swell of this hiring wave that's supposed to happen and we'll all move on to better places, especially you folks that've been waiting since 2007!!!

Poncef15c is pretty close. I clicked submit last August, so from submit to CJO was about 11.5 months.

Agreed. I was always happy for the bros getting the calls, and always wondering what was wrong with me. All the 2nd guessing of the most minute details on the application was very tiresome and stressful. I must've changed happy to glad 5 times, no idea if any of it even mattered.

If I knew the formula to getting a call I'd happily share but unfortunately the guys who really know don't seem to be sharing so all we've got is rumor, hearsay, and patience to build our apps. I feel very fortunate to have gotten the call to interview when there are so many guys who are at least as qualified as me (if not more) who haven't been called. I just hope the C in my CJO goes away and I'm able to start training at my first available opportunity because I certainly don't like the idea of starting the job hunt process again.

Congrats and welcome! Come to the bus - we have a sidestick! Of course NYC isn't the greatest, but it does go junior.

F-4D/E/G IP, T-38 IP

My last 4 begin with 03XX, I'll get whatever goes last. I'm so happy to be hired I hardly care anyway. What a great problem to have, I didn't get my 1st choice in DAL's fleet.
