Still stationed in Sacto. Scheduled for the January 21st class. The day I got the conditional offer I dropped my letter for a 1 April retirement. Still hasn't officially been approved but I've been told to not expect any problems.

Best of luck to all - new hires are needed at several airlines.
Agreed. Although most of us are still trying to figure out what "qualified" means ...

Lt. Col or higher, 3 Lunar Landings, or endorsement from the President.

I feel bad for the highly qualified folk who have gotten the TBNT letter from AA.

It's baffling. I wish I could peer into the machinery and figure out why the computer spits out A but not B. Psych eval? Only a handful of folk in Castle Greyskull (Centreport) would know. Or maybe the computer brain is at the school house?

Most of them have more TPIC than I do right now, although I do have a nice slew of type ratings, for what that's worth.

It's a weird, mysterious process.

^^ And no flying assessment. Maybe the 'pilot test' has been demonstrated to assess actual flying ability?

Pretty much in this boat, but not a single internal rec at UAL and not much flying my last year (maybe 50 hours). Will that hold me back?

I'm not sure about other airlines but UAL requires you to have 100 hrs in the previous 12 months.

That's not listed on the UAL pilot recruitment website. Maybe it's a part of the Airline Apps questionnaire.
