This is total flame bait. Congrats to all those new-hires and good luck to a class as soon as possible. TxBus makes some points in his posts but his judgement is sometimes clouded. If you need to leave jetblue then go right ahead. It will make it easier for those wanting to be here to make it a better place. Good luck to you in your future adventures. I will not hijack this thread. Thanks.

There's a difference between having an application out, and waiting to leave. I have active applications out, but I probably wouldn't go.

Which is why I took issue with their "survey." Whoever wrote it had clearly never written an actual survey before. There's a science to it. (PhDs exist based on survey construction research.) The question "Do you have an active application for another airline?" doesn't really ask what they meant to ask. They took the response and assumed those people are all actively looking to leave. It's only one example of the question not being worded quite right. Nearly all of them had some sort of problem. As I filled it out I was thinking..."I know what they are asking here, but it is worded in a really biased way." Surveys must be worded neutrally to get a accurate stats.

It's a shame, because a good accurate survey is needed. I would like very much to tell the PVC what I feel through a properly constructed survey. As it is, they really have no clue.

So you PVC types that read this forum, go create a real survey.

Why don't you just use your phone and tell them how you feel. Or write an email?

Better yet run for the PVC next time and tell the pilot group your views and see if you win the silo.

As you neither of you have been here long enough to see, this PVC is the most in touch PVC we've had since jetblue became a real airline instead of a flying club.

I did and the response was less than professional!

I'm taking about a scientific survey that they (and the rest of us) can see and digest. The people motivated enough to make a lot of noise may not represent the wishes of the pilot group at large. They need to get a handle on the views of the whole group, not just the squeaky wheels.

I, for one, am disgusted by the PVC emails. I find them to be unprofessional, and they certainly do not represent my point of view.

I'm a yes vote, but every time I get a PVC email I question my decision.

You find it unprofessional that they tell us the truth rather than what Management wants us to hear? Great... PLEASE do not run or volunteer for any committee positions if that's how you feel about communicating with your fellow pilots.

No, I find their tone to be unprofessional and derogatory. When we get a union, we have to work as a team, not antagonize each other.

I'm a yes vote in spite of "BlueTruth" and the PVC, not because of them. I talked with 3 PVC members in person a month ago, and I couldn't wait to get out of the room.
