If we guestimate about 35-40 people (this is a WAG) per interview day get into Phase II:
Stragglers from Feb/6
36 from Feb/25
35-40 from Feb/26, Mar/11, Mar/19, Mar/20 and Apr/8
There appears to be over 200 people in Phase II that are waiting for class dates. Classes since January seem to average around 27 people.
Upcoming class projections: Two classes in May, one in June, one in July, one in August, two in September... 7 classes at 27 per -- on these assumptions - 189 people in Phase II would get a class date before September 30th.
They did have a class of 32 in February, so here's hoping upcoming class sizes average 30 or more....
I am a Mar/11 interview and I'm really hoping for that mid June class.

Any idea why they can't assign class dates that far out? Not complaining by any means, just inquisitive about the process.

rdc034---I agree with your numbers, as well. JB did a great job cleaning up the pool from last year with the multitude of spring classes. Now, due to interviewing approx 150 a month since Jan, I think it can be assumed that a new "pool" has been created. Hopefully, JB will start sending out letters to put all the guys in Phase II at ease. With training classes being reduced in size and frequency, it will be a long summer. I know a bunch of guys that from 2012 and 2013 that waited over six months for a class date. Good Luck to all!

Recency issues are getting exacerbated by the delays. Many civilian and military interviewees are getting limited/no flying time at present. After 3-4 months in a pool lack of recency might eliminate some (it seems to be a big deal lately at JB)

Still feeling a little nervous in regards to this. I'm an 11 March AM interview, military background only, now in phase 2 with relatively low time in last 12 months compared to a part 121 guy. Wishing JB would offer a little more communication during this stage of the selection. I know my background check was completed the first week of April. Does anyone inside know how frequently the PHC convenes to make selections?

By contacting Sterling. Everyone in my group was given a bad electronic link that was never fixed. As a result we submitted paperwork manually . So the whole thing was a little questionable in terms of what was received. They lost my submission two times - with SS#, DOB, etc. They also have emailed and faxed applicant info (all the personal stuff) to other people by accident. Another case I'm aware of involved a PRIA request fax (again with SS# and DOB) to the wrong department of a government agency. So we've been a bit skeptical of what's going on behind the scenes.
The great enigma is the pilot hiring committee. Let's be honest here - a credit check is instantaneous (like applying for a store credit card at the checkout counter). A background check is instantaneous (like buying a handgun in TX - FBI criminal check is less than 30 seconds.)
Credit checks include past residences. Under PRIA, a company has 30 calender days by law(not business days) to get the paperwork over.
FAA verification of certificates, ratings, and enforcement actions take two weeks. The only delay should be if they found something (my background is clean so if it's there it's not correct) or if something is missing that the applicant is unaware of - and has no way of knowing unless they contact Sterling.
The PHC is the quandary. A secret society of delta delta delta's adorned in purple robes summoned by carrier pigeon to a secret underground lair where decisions are made only after the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox perhaps?
