We don't need 330's fo gloopy to do that, we will be dead soon anyway if he has his way.

Yeah I can see it at some point but not anytime soon
We need to get our stuff together before we start playing with big planes.

LOL,
That's like saying,

" looks like I'm gonna get laid"

When you're in a bar. When you don't and your buds give you a hard time you say, well I didn't mean tonight.

Hahahaha. That never happens I think if you guys didn't believe you would get widebodies in the near future, you'd all have your apps in to go somewhere else because you know it would mean merge or die. The big 3 legacies will be able to price you out of the market because where they can take big losses domestically, they drastically cover those losses and then some with lucrative int'l flying. You guys might wanna check out the case study of SWA in PHL when they tried to come in and go to war with USair. They got their butts royally handed to them. Why? US was able to go toe to toe in the domestic market, because they hedged it all with their European flying. Take notes, you guys need to grow int'l and I know that you guys know that. A330, A350, A3widesomething. It has to come.

I don't know why, but this thread makes me laugh! I was in the AM group on the 8th. Also in Phase 2. Happy waiting! The Sterling rep I've been in contact with has actually been quite helpful in explaining the process on their end. Not like there's too much more to know or anything - but hey... An occasional update / point of contact makes waiting less painful. Is JB planning a June class?

Hey Corbs,

I hear there is a June 18th class - but I guess there are people from Feb interviews still waiting for a class date. I think we may be looking as late as August. (?)

That's an interesting perspective. From the angle I'm looking at, things didn't work out so well for USair. SWA is doing just fine. USair went into bankruptcy (again) and had to merge with America West to keep from going out completely. I'm not trying to be antagonistic. I'm just offering a different view of events. Just my two cents. Take it or leave it.

You don't need widebodies to grow international. JetBlue's growth is mostly international at this point. Lima, Colombia, ect.. They are doing fine with the A320/321. Don't get me wrong I would love to see A330's or A350's at JetBlue. I was in the March 11th interview group. During the Q&A with the chief pilots someone asked about flying to Europe and the answer was that it was not going to happen because there was no money to be made.

Careful listening to anything that comes from a "chief pilot". Jetblue hired assistants to the chief pilots(who are first officers that have been here 4 years or less) instead of hiring actual captains and these first officers introduce themselves as "chief pilots" at interviews.

These people and their information are not what you want to be basing your future decisions on.
