Here are other major airline's first year pay by the hour:

American $35
Continental $30
Northwest $30
United $31
UsAir $38
Let's not forget the side issues! CAL pays for your hotel, training, AND positive space travel to/from training. Expect to be at the IAH Marriot if you make it thru screening. I have heard horror stories about other carriers training policies. Be careful what you ask for!

Also pay per diem. You make more the first 2 months than the next 10.. All in all I know it was worth the effort.

Sounds good.... I have been told by one of my sponsors that I am out of the "short stack" and on KD Jost's(?) desk.

If that truly is the case: Do you get a call or is everything done via email?
DD 214 required for mil. (I've been out for 4 years)
College transcripts (1992 grad)
others, Etc....?

Any information from a new hire or from "One in the know" would be greatly appreciated.

I got a phone call from Cynthia. You do need your transcripts and most likely your DD 214 (I wasn't military). When you get the offer for the interview they send you via email a must bring list of documents.

Good luck to you! You'll love it here.

The last time I had to get transcripts, the school had to send them directly to the company - is that still the way it is? or will they take a very old copy!
