You're welcome! There are some hard core guys on here. I was in the same place on here several years back that you were. I've been reading on here for years. Just finally got my account straightened out so I could post. I do find that everyone contributes on here. I guess you got the "welcome to boot camp" initiation.
If you are able, follow it at least 3-4 times a week. You will learn those who have reputable information and those. ......... well...... just like to post comments and take jabs at each other. It's quite intertaining and helpful majority of the time.
Some of the best advice I can give is lay low and read to get up to speed on what's going on with the forums you are interested in. Definitely contribute and ask when you do have questions that haven't been discussed recently. Post information about what is happening at your company. It helps us all to know what's going on in the industry.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'm not the only one to think he is a douche.

Here is the thing....those of us that have been hired in this wave of hiring did do all the work of sifting through the threads to get the latest scoop on interviews and work environment. It may seem pretentious, but I want you and every other pilot applying for the job to do the same. Why? Because I like my job and am excited about the future. All the new hires I have met have been top notch....and I want more top notch, motivated pilots to join us. This is my (hopefully) final career job and I want other pilots to be at least motivated to sift through some internet posts on an overnight to find this very basic information.
I wish you luck in your search, hope that you find what you are looking for.

They will entertain your messages when they have seen you've been "in the room" for a while and have been listening. Don't let it bother you and don't get a bad taste about it on here. There is good information on here.
Like worstpilotever is stating, most who are getting hired at a major right now are climbing a mountain that seems to have no peak. You think you've made some ground and it's just another cliff. Then all the sudden one day an email comes just to give you an invite - not the job just the interview. I'm just hoping to find the summit one day sooner rather than later.
