Next time tell them just how much you are enjoying the moment, especially in those hard to reach areas. 15 minutes is absurd.

Rampers go through random TSA checks, but not every day. Some days TSA is there, some days not. Keeps the rampers on their toes.
In addition, they do go through a 10 year criminal check, supply references, and do drug tests.
A bad apple making things bad for everyone else going to the airport.
I hope they throw the book at that guy, then throw away his jail key.

That's not good enough. They need to be screened. It's defies logic that we allow anyone, aside from crew that are given flight deck acces during flight, access to the aircraft without being screened.

I totally agree, just saying what happens.

Should be like down south, they've got security at the plane that checks the local workers coming on and off the plane, then security gets checked themselves. Don't know how effective it is, but it's there.

I always get frustrated when I get to my gate in the AM at one of our hubs and have to wait for the gate agent to show up and check my ID before going to the airplane. When I get verified and go down, there are catering crews and cleaners walking all over the aircraft that haven't even been through security. They're ok being on the aircraft but I have to wait for a gate agent to check me out and make sure it's ok for me to go down.

Certainly not a wrist slapping. Getting caught with one illegal handgun in New York City is mandatory prison sentence. Let alone 18 illegal handguns.

Just takes one guy that goes through and gets a random check to text his buddy that the TSA is there. Not hard to figure out when the random checks are happening these days.

Screening everyone is the only thing that will stop this kind of activity.

This wouldn't have stopped this though.

The guy came through the unscreened employee entrance with his bag of guns then went into the passenger terminal where he handed the bag off to his buddy in a restroom. His buddy then boarded the flight and took the guns to New York.

If he gets a good lawyer, he might not even get any charges for gun trafficking. I'm sure he has already said he was unaware of what was in the bag and was just paid to bring it to the restroom.

Sorry for misunderstanding.
