Oh Delta. So pathetic

If I'm not mistaken I believe Delta's 737NGs were ordered with or at least showed up with HUDs in 2000. Maybe one of the old farts around here would know.

Yes it did. Except us.
You know, we pioneered the use of a HUD. We pioneered RNP. We can land on gravel (although not these days). We know what it takes to run an airline in adverse weather conditions. We are 80 years in this business and going stronger than ever. Someone said, nervous? That would be a no.

Seatac has been down much of the week due to low vis. So has much of the PNW. The only TO alternate available for us was Klamath Falls. As we taxied for takeoff we heard two Delta flights ask ground to pull off in the run up area because they figured out that their ops specs did not allow them to use Klamath as an alternate. I hope the passengers on those two 737-800s enjoyed the parade of Alaska aircraft taking off while they sat waiting for the weather to improve (or until management got their S together)
Way to build a hub Delta!

Mike taking a quick look at overall operating stats out of SEA if Delta does not have it together what does that say about Alaska? Might want to glance at the numbers!

As to the gravel runway thing, there's no gravel runways in Paris, what are we supposed to do?

Mike, are you on flight pay loss from the Department of Drunk and Posting on the Internet?
