If you work at UPS and hate flying at night then just bid the international stuff which is daytime flying.

hmmmmm SDF-CGN show time at 0200 local sounds like night time to me. Not so easy to avoid the bad hours.

I do not fly international--yet. But I have been told by many of those who do that if you hate night flying and sitting through the sort that Pacific flying is a nice alternative. Am I wrong?

That is a very flawed way to determine if you'll fly more at night at a cargo or pax airline.

If you do that, you'd have to take the same unscientific survey at 4PM as well as the one you did at 4AM. Obviously there is much more day flying on the pax side.

Lil J

if one wants to avoid sitting the sort in SDF then international will help, however there is a sort in CGN and in Clark every night. The A300, 757z, and MD all sit the sort somewhere overseas.

I'm just mentioning that there are many all nighters on the international side. Also the 24 hour layovers have a person flipping body clocks every duty period (sometimes in excess of 16 hours) whereas some domestic stuff is about the same z time all week. Don't know which is better. Wait till you head up to ANC some night after being up all day with the kids.

Gentlemen,
I'd like to remind you of one of the forum rules that you agreed to when you signed up.

It would be nice if we could have professional exchanges of information and ideas without being randomly subjected to the gutter minds of some.

CALPilotToo,
I'm sure CAL management would be interested to see what you're posting about your pax.

Man it just is not gonna happen.
It's like going into a bar and not drinking. Boys will be boys. Rules or not. Plus I didn't see any vulgarity. Just an Acrynam.
