Still love it! It's just the part of the grind that can bring ya down.

I still love flying. Flying someone else’s jet where someone else wants it to go is what gets old.

Got my Commercial back in 1974. Put the lawn mower in the garage… haven’t worked a day since. Couldn’t think of a better way to live in the 4 hemispheres, enjoyed many cultures, lived in 5 star accommodations… all on someone else’s money.

Agreed. Flight deck forward I'm pretty happy but getting to that spot can be a real grind. Today is a case in point. Super early report and didn't have my act together yesterday evening, so it's late.

Todays cartoon is a great case why our profession is the way is bc of unions and why we need them. Someone is always willing to do it for cheaper or even free bc it’s “fun”. Looks at most of the rest of the world. Pilots work a lot more and make a whole lot less.

June schedule is different, hence why I'm a tick late today folks. Day 2 of 4. Girls off for summer break so I can have trips touch weekends which normally is heretical in our home.

There are definitely controllers like that, but now having to call for a clearance is so rare I sometimes feel like I’ve forgotten how.

Been flying South of the boarder and some of them don't have CPDLC, so like this morning in MMGL, I had to make the old-fashioned call, on Tower freq no less!
