Well, let's just hope they get home safe. I've been thinking about them all week. I've JS'd a lot on UAL over the years, stand-up bunch of guys and gals...

Some of us have been there, done that.
Never flown drunk, but like my beer.
One time, while flying freight, on a layover in ANC we got a message that the plane was running really late from Japan. Instead of going to bed, some of us stayed in the bar until the wee hours.
Had plenty of time to sleep it off and be rested and sober, no problem.
Heck it would even be good to sleep late in the morning and be rested for the afternoon flight to ORD.
Good idea.
Then the airplane showed up on time, they were able to defer the MX item instead of fixing it.

Got a surprise early morning wake up call.
Long day to ORD.

Layovers? Thought you spent your time at home on short call, living the dream. 😉

Enjoy a drink if you want. You know when you're flying, what time you have to report and how long your layovers are. If you can't be a responsible adult, then you take a huge gamble on career suicide if caught. Choice is yours..
