Basically you and I will be unstacked for quite some time. Better to bid a trip that get back early on Christmas eve or day than to try and bid the whole period off.

Basically international stinks.
And this is precisely what needs clarification on the next contract we negotiate (if any of us live long enough to see that). Define exactly who/when/why and how short call is to be determined.

Hey Steve, by that you mean- "International sucks: the hours are long, you're flying the back side of the clock, commuting is terrible, and JFK is a mess. I wouldn't wish international flying on my worst enemy". Right?

Like I said, International reserve sucks. When I can hold a better line I will make the jump, but this reserve thing domestically is quite nice.
Being off almost every weekend would take me 20+ years otherwise.
