I suspect that an incident will occur in the future where the Mesa pilots will either be off line trying to listen to ATIS or discussing these charts instead of monitoring the aircraft. This is a safety issue! Is our union toothless on these matters?

Non-US standard acronyms for runway lighting. What a joke!

OK, I guess I'll be the ***** in church on this one.

Calm down people, if you are seriously unable to read a 5x7 piece of paper and deduce the relevant information then you shouldn't be allowed to dress yourself much less fly an airliner. Jepp, NACO, or this new one, suck it up and do your job.

Yes, Jepp charts are my preferred format, but the app sucks. It's not user friendly, and in my case it sucked my battery life like a college sophomore on spring break. Foreflite is much better product.

Yes, this is yet another example of Mesa just being flat out cheap to save a few bucks that will never filter to anyone's paycheck (besides JO). However considering the kings ransom that Jeppessen is charging somebody needs to explore an alternative.

Mesa has it's problems, but the Chicken Little routine that some of our pilots do is seriously counter productive. Save your drama for the real fights that NEED to be fought.

Have you looked at these charts? They are cheesier than NOS. Unlike Jepp and NOS, you have to read notes in the departure plate to know if you have an RNAV or a HDG departure.

We can’t even pass CAT II procedures. We are going to handicap ourselves with this pile of crap. When our violations increase and the FAA asks why, the answer will be clear. But, Mesa management will simply lie.

They're not even hard to read...in some aspects they're actually easier.

Name the aspects. Runway lengths and widths? I can identify at least a dozen way where they are much, much worse.

Here is another example. Frequencies are in colors other than black. When you go to “highlight” the frequency on the chart so it stands out, the highlight function doesn’t work... and if you use the “brush” to highlight the frequency, the frequency practically disappears. It doesn’t matter what color is used for the brush.

Can Foreflight be approved for 121 ops? Everyone likes it. Guess it’s too late now, but I’m sure they’d love to break into the airline industry and offer a good price.

I keep wondering the same thing. Is Foreflight or Garmin distributing NOS charts through an app that the FAA will approve?

Airbus and Mesa have a package deal going I believe Airbus is doing a lot of data and other things for Mesa plus that charts.
