In all honesty, I heard from a friend they wanted to get into cargo with CRJ200s.... partner with 135 UPS feeders or something?

That idea has been kicked around for years. I think Ameriflight has floated the idea as well. There are many 200s with plenty of life left in them, perhaps having a door modification done and reconfigured for cargo would be something feasible...

The CRJ200 makes sense to me. Not sure how it would be used though. Feeder off a UPS jet in a small city. Or, hub to city?

UPS scope won't allow it, basically anything bigger than a Shorts would have to be flown at UPS, IIRC.

I was at Mesa before 117. Do you know what 117 did? It made things more complicated and was a pay cut.
No more standups, fine. But if you did a stand up on your last day, you were released to go home around 6am or whenever you got back to base.
