If JO didnt have screaming tirades in the palace, and he didnt insult top brass at codeshares (UA, Delta) Mesa might still have almost 200 airplanes to fly. Sad to see that pilot group numbers have decreased so much since I flew there. When I left there were 2600 pilots on the list. I remember getting a xmas card and his daughter was wearing a fur coat...meanwhile I was furloughed from 9/11. I returned to card to him with mustaches and other subtle hints of my anger drawn on it. LOL

Are they actually going through with the classes for July, August and September, or are they going to "Postpone" them like last time... I've heard from some people on line there that Junior Assignments are becoming the norm, yet again...

I heard there was a class assigned for July 27 but there haven't been any updates to the furlough recall list on Mesa's website since 6/21. I have a hunch the company is holding recalls back as much as possible as a bargaining chip during contract negotiations.

4 DHC-8 FO’s and 6 CRJ FO’s start this month. Don’t know exact dates but this week or next. A standing bid that closed on July 7th had vacancies for only FO’s in IAD, CLT and ORD, I think a Hawaii base too. Don’t have it in front of me and can’t look it up (computer PDF thing).

At the risk of stating the obvious, all recalls simply cover attrition. And attrition has been lower than even the 7th & 11th floor expected, but hopefully that will change soon. I do know some short timers tho.

Anything else I could add is pure rumor, and has been wrestled with elsewhere. I'd like to spread real info.

The latest rumor is that the board has issued an ultimatum to JO to either stop the outflow of cash in controable areas or Mesa will be looking for a new CEO, CFO and COO.

Just curious... do we know what these areas are?? Go! brand's 50s and what else?

Was under the (obviously deceived) impression that Mesa's budget was pretty slim & trim post BK...

Rumor has it that no one wanted Go! in BK court because it was not a asset..

Controlable could be the six figure penalty owed to a partner for not staying in certain preformance thresholds.

No doubt the budget is small to non existent. I suspect there is a lot of the creditor/owners cash invovled in some big payments. Can't prove it but then were else would the $ come from?

[RUMOR]
The latest in Hawaii is that go! will be winding down in ~90 days (in fact sources at Hawaiian say they have it on "good authority" (don't know how they know)). Apparently DB will be coming out to the islands soon, possibly to break the news...
