I know Mesa gets bashed around here at least, but I've heard their training is really good, right?
Any training in the CRJ is done with a Mesa instructor. And yes Mesa's training department is top tier. Study hard, put forth the effort, and you will be in good shape. The instructors and the captain's I've flown with have all been very knowledgeable and experienced. Even on the line I have learned so much from the captain's I've flown with. They realize the upgrade time is dropping and they want you to be as prepared as possible when your number comes up.

People here want you to succeed and do well in your career, or at least that's the vibe I've gotten.

Not really either, from what I've heard. They do a respectable job, but then so does Mesa. So it's a wash.

What bases have new hires been getting out of training? CRJ and EJET. Also what are the chances of getting PHX within a year? I'm sure this is buried somewhere in the thread but I just wanted to get the most up to date info. Thanks.

Yeah it's like back one page. New hires should be able to hold Phx if not immediately a couple months of out training.

IAH is the only EJET base at this time....

Why no schedule changes in the last seven days of this month? Is that normal?

It's always been that way--it's another lazy, irrelevant, stupid carryover policy from the pre-117 way of doing things.

The biggest hurdle to crew utilization and crewmember QOL at Mesa is VV--there are so many easy-to-fix things like carryover swaps and interdomicile trip swaps that would

It's not hard to allow all crewmembers to see all bases' reserve grids in Flica, and to swap, say an ORD trip for a CLT trip if reserve coverage and legalities support it. But VV would rather shuttle reserves around the system and spend hours re-building ORD trips as IAD trips and IAD trips as CLT trips.
