Why would they do that? Maybe so we could strike and shut down
the entire hub of regional flying.........like Comair!

It wouldn't surprise me. I've lived through entire fleets swapped across the country at Mesa, ordered by mainline. Of course it was Delta doing it to us.

What's interesting about that though is that the majority increase in flying for MAG and staffing have been towards CLT. All Increases since March-June were purely on the CLT side (east coast). With a reduction on the west coast side. I don't know what they're saying at the wholly owned regionals but the exact opposite of what you think is or at least has been happening.

With that being said...CLT (MAG) this month saw a slight decrease in flying and staffing levels seem to be going towards bogey and not double bogey. My two pesos....

I believe Mesa 900s (47) and Skywest 900s (4) for USX are all owned by Mesa and/or SKW. I believe... With a Contract extension thru 2021 etc. to operate as USX for Dougie.

....don't quote me on exact no.s

Not saying they could not, but,I have never seen base or region verbiage in any pilot contract. Especially regional!

I'm not saying I think Mesa is losing any flying, I just heard that they might be moving your fleet to the west for more PHX flying. I was only asking because I have a few friends on the CLT 900 and would hate to see them go.

Remember the game where you whisper a story into an ear, and that person whispers to another, and on down the line?

With that said... and we all know how that game usually ends...

what I heard today from a sr. CA, who heard it directly from our MEC Chairman.

E Jets are a "done deal" Base will be Houston, or SFO

and 10 more 900's for Airways.

Time frame for one of these was first quarter next year, he couldn't remember which.

Personally, I'll believe it when I smell the Jet fuel. Do I want it to be true? Yes, because my family could really use the near two fold pay increase when get un-downgraded.

Can anyone else credibly deny this as vicious rumor, or conversely confirm any truth?

Thanks!

Forgive me in advance for participating in and contributing to this nonsensical scuttlebutt. But sometimes it's all we have.

Recruiter told me last week 40 pilots/month the rest of the year and 30/month for the next 2 years. Sounds like more airplanes to me.

Why anyone would go to the epitome of subpar regionals is beyond me. Their pay for 76 seaters is the worst than pretty much any other operator. J.O. is the host cancer to this industry and what its become. All he cares about is being rich at the expense of the line workers. He may get more flying, and it will be a mess again, and screw it up, lose planes, furlough, then file BK as they did 2x's before and start over again. Its a scam operation and he keeps doing it over again. Look at MAG history, they got booted out of EVERY contract they ever did. Delta and UAL just a few years ago as most recent with each suing MAG. What is to say much has changed now? This movie has been played before. Be careful, I know people that went there being hasty on their growth, and got furloughed. They can't manage an operation out of a small jar, FYI.
