Hmm, that's too much work for airways. After CLT is consolidated into Dfw, it'll be a better representation. 4 day trips often are worth around 18 hours. Some 30 hour layovers. United side out of Dulles has REALY good productivity with 15 to 16 days off.

Where are we going to find the pilots to operate them. If that's the case, I hope we turn down the deal. Delta should just continue to take back their regional flying putting mainline metal on it, so we can all move along with our careers... Just my .02.
What are the terms?

The ONLY reason Mesa is where it is today... Is because it dumped it's 50 seaters before everyone else. Leading up to this was a series of horrible decisions...

circa 2006 with ~1800 pilots

then...

-Refusing to pay to play for Airways in 2006ish thereby giving CLT entirely to AirWhiskey.

-China

-Delta

-Hawaii

by 2012-ish only ~600 pilots survive the cuts, 10 year upgrade, and 50 seaters are gone.

Now you're in a new golden age - DO NOT SCREW IT UP BY GETTING BACK IN THE 50 SEAT BUSINESS!!!

Just my humble opinion mixed with some pseudo facts

Always rooting for ya'll!!!

I'll never, ever understand somebody not showing up. What a complete and utter lack of professionalism and professional courtesy. If you're not coming, don't accept the job offer. And if plans change, give the prospective airline a heads up so you don't burn your bridge with them.

And sulk, interesting assessment, but would it be such a detriment if we didn't actually own them? The only real problem I can imagine is a scenario of furloughing pilots if Delta decides to stop using them and doesn't award us the replacement flying.

Possibly but it just seems gratuitous. I'd put all that energy toward real contracts that have lasting power.

wrt your quote by Ludwig Lederer: I just traded all my B and half my C for the future possibility of modestly more C. Kinda like when I got married to get more A but now get no A for the price of half my C!

Okay you do know there is a difference between the number of class offers given and accepted and the people that actually show up right? A "friend" of yours that's been here 2 days doesn't have a clue. One of the directors of training came in class on Monday and said that by the end of the week we would have 33 people below us.
