Must be more attrition within the new hires or relatively junior pilots. That difference in seniority jumps makes sense, since others were saying people were leaving before/after IOE.

I'll fix that for you - people "being told to leave" before/after IOE.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you- this is not Mesa 2006, FOs are not "quitting on Overnights to screw JO." FOs are however quickly moving up seniority in base and upgrading.

We rarely hear a peep from JO and compared to RAH, this is a pretty well run, fair operation.

We show up for work, fly and go home. No issues. The most I've heard from the company in months, is a phone call asking me - "Can I come to an earlier upgrade class, as they are upgrading more people than planned."

Heck, I've called off sick every other month and I've never heard a thing from the CPs office.

That training contract you refer to is not exactly sh*t. Mesa can and will go after you if you breach it voluntarily after your checkride/released from IOE.

The amount of people leaving is being skewed on these boards. And the ones leaving- contrary to what they are telling people they were in training with is NOT voluntarily.

Non-existent employee sponsored health insurance
Horrible flight benefits
No uniform allowance.
Pay.
CLT closing.

I'd guess half of your attrition is people finding a better spot, the other half is people that don't belong in a 121 cockpit.

Not sure if your are just adding "information" or debating with me-

Yes, our insurance SUCKS. No debating that. Needs to be FIXED.

Flight benefits are on par with every other Regional. Just list as a J/S'er guys.

Pay is not $30 an hour starting but on par with RAH, G7, PSA, maybe 3 or 4 dollar difference here or there. WE HAVE CANCELLATION PAY. Those of you who have never worked at a Regional with no cancellation pay really just have no idea how HUGE THIS IS.

Don't GET COMFORTABLE here, get your PIC time and GTFO!!!!!!

CLT closing - This is a REGIONAL. Sorry to break it to you - bases OPEN and CLOSE.

I am going to IAH with the full understanding that it may be CLOSED in 12 months and all the E175s may be sent to NEWARK, DENVER or SAN FRAN..

For those of you still weeping about CLT closing - once again - we are a regional operator, at the whim of our mainline partners.

If you can't handle commuting or going to a different DOMICILE.......

DON"T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT.

Your attrition? What attrition? So now you're chastising those who got you through and doing so on the way out. I guess you've set the bar and know exactly where every other pilot should be? I take it, you ran over to PSA and helped them set that bar when you got in that door.

Statements were based on fact.

Yes. Mesa's insurance is the worst. For you plus family, consider it to be $500/mo. More than 'typical' employee sponsored coverage.

Yes. No uniform allowance is a joke. For them to have the gall to nit pick employees about appearance is hypocritical. Hey but they offer a payroll deduction program.., oh well, that's all better huh?

Yes. Pay sucks at the regional level. CX pay is huge for those considering republic/gojet.

No. Mesa doesn't have the same flight benefits, very expensive for what you get. If it's just you jumpseating, oh well there you go.

Agree, basing is not anything to fixate on. You can take a chance on this one.

Some of these issues get overlooked by prospective employees until you're already signed up. I found Mesa initial to be easy and well organized. The 1st AQP, was a much different atmosphere, it was fine but much more demanding than anything I experienced in initial, the CA was lucky to keep his spot is all Ill say. Kudos to the AQP instructors for drawing a line in the sand.
