There's a huge difference between accepting a low payrate at your first regional job to shoot for a quick upgrade, versus accepting a low payrate to fly a superjumbo at an airline you plan on spending your entire career at.
I know you Skywest wannabes are really proud of your FO salary, but you're doing it wrong: your first regional should be chosen based on the fastest upgrade possible--pay & contract & basing should all be secondary concerns (if you can afford it).
No one is saying they're going to work for free for a 1 in 100 chance to fly a superjumbo. No one at Mesa is "putting someone on the street"--name one effing regional that is putting pilots on the street because of ScottyDo and other pilots' decisions to come here versus Skywest, Envoy, etc..
Furthermore, no one who came here for the quick upgrade is going to "work here for a decade" on our low payscale as an FO--if the quick upgrade doesn't materialize, FOs will simply quit or make lateral transfers--if you want evidence look at how Endeavor is losing FOs to Spirit & other regionals en masse.
FaceBiter, we all know that what you're really saying in this and every one of your posts is: 1) You're jealous because you washed out of our training program and could be sitting left seat by now, and 2) You're upset that other people who rolled the dice on Mesa will be at a legacy before you even make left seat at your current airline

Maybe because we don't plan on being "lifers" like most people. Got a 4 year degree, get you're time in, and get out. The people that most often ***** about the contracts and the money are the ones who plan on being there for 10+ years because they know they can't go anywhere else.
While i'm not trying to disagree with you going for the quick upgrade. I would do that same if I was in your guy's shoes, looking for growth. Its not going to be super easy to just "get out" whenever you please.

I get a kick out of you saying "get in and get out" its not going to be that simple. Even if you do upgrade in a year and get 1000 TPIC in the second year, its not going to be that simple to "get out". There are still thousands of Regional CAs that want out and have tons of PIC time with other qualifications like; Check Airmen, Volunteering, Educations, etc. Its still going to be competitive for the next three to five years.

It's funny, there's an old saying, something along the lines of "the people the most jealous/envious of you will give you the most attention/hate on you the most..."
Don't see many PSA or Compass guys trolling the Mesa forums....

But hey, it's better to sit out those 3-5 years in the right seat of 200 at Skywest right?

I just said in my post I would go to an airline with growth if I was a new hire. I guess you didn't care to read the post.
Also I fly 700/900 trips, no 200 for me.

With as much time as you spend on the forum, I find it odd that you won't read a long post directed at you. Or, more likely, you're a liar and did read it, but had no comeback, so you tried to turn it around by saying it's too long. And, furthermore, if you aren't lying, and you really can't read that much, I see why you are a career regional FO. Cheers. Bro fist.

These guys are just venting their frustration is all. I'd be bitter too if I'd been f'd over like some of them have been.
