To each his own....
20 of my 86 hours cancels... I still get paid for 86 hours.
If I don't fly those 20 hours and I overblock 4 hrs on top of the 66 hours I've flown now I am at 70 total hours of work; I by no means believe I am entitled 90 hrs of pay.
I have only worked 70 hours, I'm embarrassed to be from such an entitlement generation.

By the way, my kids are from the "entitlement" generation, and I taught them how to earn their way through life. I just want to be compensated for my time. What a crazy concept.

It's leg-by-leg cancellation pay and we are entitled to it because of the language in our CBA. It's a work rule just as min-day pay is(something mesa doesn't have either).
