New word from the recruiting department. Numbers to try and get new pilots are low. The pilot shortage is impacting not only Mesa but other airlines as well. Despite this, some interview types are now telling recruiting they want the E-jet or nothing at all. While in times past, Mesa would try to accomodate, that is no longer the case.
If you get a job offer then say I want _ or nothing else, Mesa is now moving on. They will tell you they are no longer interested and move on to the next person. Remember, if you get hired into the CRJ 900 (CL65) you should take it. You can upgrade as a Captain into the E-jet as soon as you reach 1000 TT part 121. (so if you already have X amount of hours, think how fast you can make Captain-in fact some guys that were just hired in will be back as soon as F.O. training is done and will be bidding open Captain seats.) Don't shoot yourself in the foot. See the bigger picture.
Well I hope this helps someone, upgrades are going on like mad right now here, and a special note to PSA guys, if you just got hired at PSA or any other carrier and are in training limbo, you may want to consider coming here.
(After reading this, I sound like a recruiter, but if it helps someone who's looking for a job, more power to ya!)

Sound more like a used car or snake oil salesman to me...

This may seem like a dumb question and maybe I am overthinking this but here goes. Say a newish pilot meets the 1000 121 SIC requirements and upgrades at Mesa. Now take another FO that has been with Mesa for a few years and chooses to hold off on upgrading because of his good schedule or whatever. When he (the senior FO) decides to upgrade and if the company does not have any vacancies available, does the senior FO take the place of the guy lower on the list, and the new guy with barely 1000 hours gets displaced back to FO?

Glad it's being hammered out, but I don't understand why they couldn't meet every week instead of every month.
