I'm considering switching to an online logbook. Does anyone have a suggestion and why?

There's a full thread on digital logbook not to old. With that said I currently have the old logten pro and about to switch to MccPilotlog.

I love SafeLog. It's really easy to use on their website, and the iPhone/iPad apps are great. I like that I can print a PDF logbook showing any fields I want. The option to view all your flights on a map in the app, or have the website map them to Google maps or Google Earth is really neat. Their customer support has been great, though I haven't used them much because I haven't encountered any real problems.

I made an excel spreadsheet that calculates every kind of time I need. I tried putting it all in logten pro but didn't really like it. I like excel because it's free (assuming you have office) and fully customizable to fit your needs. And I keep it on Dropbox so it's in the cloud and on all my computers. Drawbacks are I can't use an iPad or iPhone very easily to input data. So I write everything I need from my trips and update at the end or in the hotel if I bring a computer.

While we're on the topic of log books:
Anyone know of an electronic logbook that ties in with Crew Trac or Flica, that way you don't have to manually put in every flight yourself?

I flew with a female FO that had one on her phone. And it imported into her computer as well. If I see her again I will ask her what the App/Program is. Very useful.

Thanks, too be honest I'm just too lazy /to busy doing other stuff to import every leg after blocking in each flight.

I've never actually done it myself but a CA showed me how to do it in log ten pro. You have to select FFDO format in flica, and then from there I can't remember if it is a direct copy and paste or if you have to go through excel. However this only works for the desktop version, which is MAC only. But I do know that it can be done because I watched him do it.
