Left XJT on 2/4/2015 after 1.5 years of service
Started at CPZ 2/5/2015
Start upgrade class in August.
PIC time... SIC time.... Who cares??
I'll now be bringing home every week more than I ever would at XJT, even if I waited to be an 8 year FO (assuming XJT was still around in 2021) while I continue to build 121 time and network for a major.
If that makes me a sell-out, I'll gladly accept that.
How does one change their screen name??
Oh, and my July line (1st month off reserve) has 16 days off and 86 credit hours...plus 4 more for working the 4th.
It's not as bad here as people make it out to be....jus sayin

OMG... No joke. Here I was thinking "they actually charge the pilots for KCM??? I've never heard such ridiculousness"
And then this guy comes in defending them.
If only they could clone him a few thousand times, they could continue to underbid everyone else for Ejet contracts.

You actually had to pay for housing during training???? I've never heard of such "ridiculousness".

Having to pay the 2 bucks a month for KCM never really bothered me. It's not like you need it to show up for work, if you don't want to spend the 2 bucks a month then don't get KCM. It's the same for the iPad, no one is forcing you to pay for an iPad if you don't want to. Save the money and use paper charts. These are indeed nice things but no one is being forced to pay for them and use them if they don't want to. Would it be nice to have these things paid for by the company? Absolutely, but I can understand why they don't.
Tell the truth... Are you in management, or just one of their puppets?

Oh stop. Just because he is ok with spending more of his personal money for work does not make him a puppet or a company plant. People have different opinions about what is acceptable and while I think requiring anyone to foot that kind of bill for a tablet is outrageous, I respect him for stating and standing by an unpopular opinion.

You're right! We should all look for other ways to pay costs that the company should be paying as part of the cost of doing business.
NOT!

I feel like most of you don't understand the difference between FFD airlines and the majors who create revenue by selling seats.
Mesa is barely turning a profit, the money just isnt there.
