Commuting on American to and from DFW can be stressful sometimes, however, with that said, there are many options to get where you need to go. There is always Fed Ex, and I love using Spirit as much as I can. Going to DFW, I will gladly go on South West into Love field. The train and bus to DFW from Love is easy and costs 2.50 or less. Just give yourself 1.5 hours.
Never go to an AA gate agent without listing yourself first on MyIdTravel, and if you do, ask them where the nearest customer service desk is. When they hear that, they are much more likely to help you.

Please make sure you always say hi to the Captain on American, and ask his permission to jump a ride. We are listed as a D6, and on the American system, that is a Jump Seat, not a seat listing like you are used to on the Airways and United systems.

I did it at the gate at DCA the other morning to LAX no problem? I would raise he\\ if some gate agent told me no. Thats a joke. (And yes i know we arent supposed to list at the gate) idgaf

DCA? Thats Airways, and those gate agents are used to listing you at the gate. The American culture is much different. Same airline now, but the cultures haven't melted together yet.

Bro youre killing me with this one.

There are no non rev fees. You only pay taxes. If you jumpseat you play it the same as if domestic, just show up an hour prior and you cant actually ride in the jumpseat. Also you cant drink if you do that. So if youre going to be stuck in a plane for 12 hours to argentina in a middle seat you might want to have a few. (Trust me)

Also you are still going to pay exit taxes jumpseating or not.
To find out how much do a dry run on flying together UAL and select roundtrip or one way FROM said country home and it will ask that you pay with a crddit card before hand.

That being said if you want to non rev down its FREE then jumpseat back on any US carrier is allowed. Gives you a little more flexibility without spending money up fron which is usually what i do.

To state the obvious, this individual had prior 121 SIC time. I'm still trying to nail down how long upgrades are running for people who came here with no 121 time.

How fast can you fly 1000 hours as an FO?

I'm guessing 18-24 months.

Probably not too far off. I'm just past the 10 month point and just over 400 hrs in the jet.
