Also, perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the block feature, or at least do like everyone else and just scroll past the posts you "don't appreciate". Welcome to the forums, now grow some thicker skin.

My mistake the joke "Mesa sucks" was code for another airline sucking in a Mesa thread. Thirteen years huh? Don't worry I hear that the majors are just looking for 14 or 15 years, your almost there.

The joke "Mesa Sucks" is probably older than this forum and has more than run it's course. Would be nice if someone could come up with something more intelligent.

Do you guys think that United is adopting plays from the Delta playbook in respect to the placement of the E-jets? Delta is known for announcing aircraft to a particular carrier and later changing it to someone else.

It is called screwing over.

Mesa has literally hundreds who have made it a career. Low 100k (20 year scale!) may not be what you or I consider 'career' pay, but for them it is. Like you condescendingly say in your post - perspective is key (kids?).

man, slow down.. I wasn't trying to be condescending at all. I was simply saying that some "feeder" airlines back in 1997-2003 were hiring different types of guys than others. Mesa was in fact hiring FO's with 300-500 hours total time during those years. I have a few personal friends who went from ASU, to mesa 1900 FO, to captain and onto Continental, AirTran, etc etc.. That was the goal for most. I do understand, though, that a lot of guys stayed at Mesa.

On the other hand, some airlines set minimums for even FO's at 2-3 thousand hours...

For reaaalzz no way....!!!??? No one cares about this stuff people. But for your reference in "future" mesa bashing. It was "250-280" hours. Surely No other regional would stoop so low to hire that kinda time?

Re: Ejet
First plane expected in march, revenue flights in June. Planes will subsequently begin deliveries in pairs in the following months. Initial check airman are headed to STL in DEC. Still waiting on where they'll be placed by united. 30 or so IOE/check airman spots avail. Interesting how they kept this crap so tight lipped? Still filling classes.

My first year pay at YV is basically identical to my first year pay at Republic. Except I make like 30 cents less an hour for pier diem at YV... However I get cancellation pay (huge) at YV.

Just two FYIs

Ahh yes... The little things the Mesa haters have no clue about in the "substandard contract". And the 200% for JRA (heard they have paying 300%). Junior Assignment doesn't exist , it's called junior available!!!!.(unless that is changing)

I would be sorely dissapointed if they negotiated out Junior Available. It would truly be a huge step backwards.

As far as comparative pay goes, anyone in this industry should know that it goes beyond what you make hourly. i.e. block or better, cancellation pay, etc. Making $10 more per hour doesn't count for squat if your trip is cancelled due to MX or WX and you have no pay protection.

And the bases are IAH and ORD.
