You can keep your right seat!
I did not start the rumor, just read and you will see where it is coming from.
I do not doubt you are getting lots of qualified applicants, but there are always exceptions like those who can't read!

The best a phone interview can find!

Misspellings aside....did you really just suggest that perceptions are more important than actual safety?

I'm starting to get the feeling that facebiter is some guy who washed out of Mesa training.

No one spends the amount of time and energy talking "trash" about a place like facebiter does unless they have some sort of vendetta.

Batwing,

I'm suggesting that hiring someone with 4 primary checkride failures, DUI, and a 709 on his record via a phone interview would cause a massive amount of attention even if that person had very little (maybe even nothing) to do with an accident.

It would not be perceived well by the public. Unfortunately, in our screwed up world this absolutely gathers more attention.

Regulators, lawyers and lawmakers would have a field day. 20/20 and CNN would be foaming at the mouth. The talking heads would be screaming for something, anything, to be done.

What WE would be left with more regulation that has a negligible effect on safety.

You with me broseph?
Unless you are "HR" here then you don't know the facts of someone's background.

I don't know how many times I've heard rumor talk of "oh so and so has such and such on their record" and it turned out to be no where near the truth.

I am just curious why it said it twice maybe it was autocorrect?

Not at all broseph, all of that can be asked about on the phone the same as in person and verified the same way whether in person or on the phone.
So...no.

Out of scientific curiosity, what specific experiences and/or thoughts are leading you to devote your time, energy, and mental capacity to these confrontational jabs on this thread?

Could it be that you are one of the people Mesa weeded out for personality/attitude/background issues?

If so, I'm sorry you didn't make the grade, but with upgrade times coming down and new planes being delivered every day, etc., the company has plenty of well-qualified people with 121 experience with great attitudes who are willing to show up to class.
